Description
When fiery single mother Nili returns to Jerusalem to protect her dementia-stricken father’s legacy, she discovers an ancient tablet that may reveal the hiding place of the legendary Ark of the Covenant. Determined to complete her father’s unfinished work, she launches an excavation through politically divided territory—only to find herself racing against her brother, a formidable academic rival, and a dubious antiquities collector. Blending high-stakes adventure with family drama, sharp satire, and vividly drawn eccentric characters, the story examines the contested uses of archaeology, religion, historical memory, and national identity. Its cinematic momentum and irreverent humor make for a thrilling, profoundly political graphic novel about the ways the past continues to shape the present.
