Description
A young bear named Lucy is captivated by a lost boy she finds in the woods—and, in a burst of childlike logic, she decides he would make the perfect “pet.” With her mother’s guidance, Lucy tries to train and care for him, only to discover that the boy’s wild, unpredictable nature makes every lesson harder than the last. As their unlikely bond grows, the story playfully explores what it means to be responsible, to understand others on their own terms, and to accept that some creatures can’t be “tamed” into fitting a plan. Written with Peter Brown’s warm humor and expressive storytelling, this charming tale turns a simple premise into a delightful meditation on empathy, patience, and the surprises of friendship.
