Description
In this enchanting novel, a surreal journey unfolds as Lucia embarks on a quest to rescue her kidnapped partner, Kai, from the clutches of the Snow Queen. Aided by a whimsical clown named Anna, Lucia navigates a dreamlike, fictional Netherlands, blurring the lines between reality and fairy tale. The narrative weaves together elements of a confessional and a fantastical adventure, exploring themes of love, loss, and the nature of storytelling itself. Nooteboom's masterful prose invites readers into a world where the ordinary gives way to the extraordinary, challenging perceptions of reality and myth.
