Description
When a diamond necklace and antique pistols vanish from a grand estate, the theft seems straightforward enough—until a body surfaces in the lake, transforming a simple burglary into a baffling murder investigation. Inspector Wilkens arrives on the scene with modest expectations, but the mysterious circumstances surrounding the corpse prove far more complex than anyone anticipated. As secrets unravel and suspects multiply, the seemingly unrelated crimes begin to form a sinister pattern that challenges even the most seasoned detective. This clever mystery weaves together theft, murder, and intrigue in a tale where nothing is quite as it appears, and the truth lies hidden beneath layers of deception.
