Description
A curious child writes to the zoo asking for a pet, and the zoo responds with a surprising parade of animals—each one revealed through delightful lift-the-flaps. Page by page, the story turns playful trial and error into a gentle lesson about finding the right fit, as the “almost” pets are replaced by creatures that are better suited to home life. With its bright, interactive format and charming, straightforward storytelling, this classic picture book invites young readers to participate, predict, and laugh along. Perfect for early readers and toddlers alike, it celebrates curiosity, kindness, and the joy of discovering what makes a companion truly perfect.
