Description
A sharp and tragicomic debut about a disillusioned artist who returns home with impressive credentials but discovers the world has little use for them. When she takes a job as a cleaner at an art gallery, she meets Isabella, a successful and elegant woman living a life of luxury, and the two begin a passionate affair that pulls the cleaner into a seductive new world. As the cleaner finds herself increasingly comfortable in Isabella's glamorous apartment—hired ostensibly to maintain it—the boundaries between her old life and this intoxicating new existence begin to blur. When Isabella suddenly disappears, the cleaner faces an impossible choice: return to her former reality or step into the life Isabella has left behind. Funny, vibrant, and utterly unpredictable, this debut explores themes of ambition, desire, identity, and the search for meaning in a world that often feels indifferent to our aspirations.
