Description
Alma Sofia Esperanza José Pura Candela has a name that feels like a whole world—so when she asks her father why she has so many, he shares the story behind each part. Through a warm, family-centered journey, Alma learns about her grandparents and the hopes, histories, and love that shaped her identity. Blending lyrical storytelling with accessible family history, the book explores themes of heritage, belonging, and the meaning we carry in our names. With Juana Martinez-Neal’s tender, child-friendly voice, this is a celebration of culture and connection that invites readers to see their own stories as something worth honoring.
