Description
In the fallen city of Elantris, a once-divine land now cursed with decay, a devastating plague transforms its inhabitants into the Reod, a shadow of their former selves. Princess Sarene of Teod arrives to find her betrothed, Prince Raoden, dead, only to discover he is alive but afflicted with the curse, living in the decaying city. As political intrigue and a desperate struggle for survival unfold, Sarene must navigate a world of betrayal and despair, while Raoden seeks to understand and perhaps even reverse the curse that has befallen his people. This epic fantasy debut explores themes of faith, sacrifice, and the resilience of the human spirit against overwhelming odds.
