Description
While visiting San Francisco, a teenager is unexpectedly transported to the World War II–era Japanese American incarceration camps where her late grandmother was confined. As she becomes increasingly entangled in the past, she witnesses the injustice, fear, resilience, and quiet resistance of a community stripped of its civil liberties. Blending historical insight with a deeply personal coming-of-age story, this graphic novel explores intergenerational trauma, memory, family, and the ways communities preserve hope under oppression.
