Description
When Louie discovers that his story has been turned into a sticky, chaotic mess, he’s determined to set things right—only to find that the “wrong” ingredients keep showing up in the most surprising ways. As he reacts to jelly, peanut butter, and other intrusions, Louie’s frustration collides with the playful reality of how stories can be changed, remixed, and retold. This lively, kid-friendly tale explores themes of creativity versus control, the messiness of imagination, and learning to adapt when plans go awry. With Patrick McDonnell’s warm, expressive storytelling and humor-forward illustrations, the book invites young readers to laugh, think, and enjoy the delightful unpredictability of a perfectly imperfect story.
