Description
In a small dorayaki shop, a disillusioned young man named Sentaro finds his life irrevocably altered by the arrival of Tokue, an elderly woman with a remarkable talent for making sweet bean paste. Her exquisite creations, born from a lifetime of experience and a secret recipe, breathe new life into the struggling business and into Sentaro's own spirit. As their unlikely friendship deepens, they must confront the prejudices and societal pressures that threaten to tear them apart, forcing a reckoning with the past and the true meaning of connection. This poignant novel explores themes of redemption, the beauty found in imperfection, and the profound impact of shared humanity.
