Description

Four girls, each improbably named Guinevere, grow up together under the care of nuns after being abandoned by their parents. Bound by loneliness, faith, and the strange intimacy of shared identity, they create a fiercely loyal friendship while navigating adolescence within the confines of a religious community. As the outside world begins to intrude, their bond is tested by longing, secrecy, and the difficult search for belonging. With lyrical prose and a touch of dark humor, this coming-of-age novel explores girlhood, devotion, family, and the stories we invent to make sense of ourselves.
