Description
In this taut novella, a young man's abduction in Guatemala City plunges him into a desperate struggle for survival, trapped in the suffocating darkness of an abandoned fuel tank. As his captors' demands escalate and the lines between victim and perpetrator blur, the narrative masterfully explores the corrosive nature of wealth and the insatiable hunger for revenge. Rodrigo Rey Rosa crafts a chilling examination of how desperation can warp morality, leaving readers to question the true cost of freedom and the enduring impact of violence.
