Description
In this charmingly odd novella, a young boy named César recounts the bizarre events that led to his brief, unexpected transformation into a nun. What begins with a seemingly innocent visit to an ice-cream stand quickly spirals into a surreal and darkly humorous tale of survival, family secrets, and the peculiar nature of identity. Through Aira's distinctive, fluid prose, the narrative explores themes of childhood perception, the arbitrary nature of gender, and the unexpected turns life can take.
