Description
An aspiring actress chasing one elusive role finds herself drawn into a “break” that feels too perfect to be real—an experimental audition for a cryptic company that promises transformation in exchange for compliance. As Missy moves deeper into the process, time warps and the boundaries between performance and life blur, turning her pursuit of a dream into a haunting test of memory, identity, and selfhood. With spare, hypnotic prose, this modern philosophical horror explores how ambition can reshape what we believe, what we remember, and what we’re willing to surrender to the illusion of a better life. A New Kind of Clean is a surreal suspense story that asks whether reality is something we inhabit—or something we consent to.
