Description
In a world where the boundaries between nature and catastrophe have blurred, a new outbreak spreads through the cracks of everyday life—quiet at first, then impossible to ignore. As communities struggle to understand what’s happening and who benefits from the silence, a determined group of investigators follows the trail from contaminated ecosystems to the human decisions that turned a warning into a crisis. Blending suspense with sharp social observation, the story explores themes of environmental collapse, institutional failure, and the ethics of survival when truth is treated as a liability. With Mira Grant’s fast, character-driven storytelling and a keen eye for the mechanics of fear, this is a tense, propulsive read that asks what we owe one another when the world starts to grow over everything.
