Description
Four Black friends in Chicago create a support group to navigate the complicated terrain of love, identity, ambition, and self-discovery. Riley, a divorced poet searching for connection online; Leland, a gay psychiatrist; Dwight, determined to find meaningful work within the Black community; and Yolanda, caught in a risky affair with a football star, each confronts desires and choices that test the bonds between them. Through their interwoven stories, the novel explores friendship, sexuality, professional aspiration, and the search for belonging with emotional insight and warmth.
