Description

On his way to interview for a pastoral position in the Piney Woods of Texas, Crockett Archer is unexpectedly forced off the road and drawn into a dangerous kidnapping plot. When he arrives in town, strong-willed Josephine Burleson hires him as the new preacher, hoping he can fulfill a promise made to her dying mother and lead her skeptical father toward faith. As Crockett and Jo confront danger, family burdens, and long-held questions about God, an unexpected romance begins to take root. Blending historical romance, adventure, humor, and heartfelt spiritual themes, the story explores redemption, trust, and the transformative power of faith.
