Description

When the sun fails to rise, the residents of Walden awaken to find their town surrounded by an impenetrable darkness—and anyone who enters it is lost amid terrifying screams. Cut off from the outside world, with supplies dwindling and communication impossible, the townspeople retreat behind a ring of protective ruins while fear, suspicion, and desperation steadily erode the social order. As violence spreads and madness takes hold, a small group must confront the darkness beyond the town’s edge and the darkness gathering within themselves. A tense, atmospheric work of apocalyptic horror, the novel explores isolation, societal collapse, and the fragile boundaries between civilization and savagery.
