Description
Two strangers discover each other through handwritten notes in the margins of a mysterious novel, sparking an unlikely conversation that draws them into a labyrinth of secrets and danger. The book they're annotating—Ship of Theseus by the enigmatic author V.M. Straka—tells the haunting tale of a man with no past aboard a ship crewed by monstrous beings, while the real mystery lies in uncovering the truth about Straka himself, a revolutionary figure shrouded in intrigue and legend. As Jennifer, a college senior, and Eric, a disgraced graduate student, exchange notes and theories, they find themselves entangled in a deadly struggle between powerful forces, forced to confront not only the book's secrets but also their own vulnerabilities and desires. Conceived by filmmaker J.J. Abrams and written by acclaimed novelist Doug Dorst, S. is a groundbreaking love letter to the written word that blurs the boundaries between reader and story, transforming a simple act of reading into an intimate and perilous journey of discovery.
