Description
A small boy discovers a mysterious hat and sets out to find who it belongs to, only to be met with a series of unsettling clues and near-misses. As the search unfolds, the story turns on silence, misdirection, and the tension between what’s seen and what’s left unsaid. With Jon Klassen’s signature deadpan humor and spare, expressive illustrations, the book explores themes of curiosity, consequence, and the stories we tell ourselves when we think we’re in control. Perfect for readers who love clever picture-book storytelling, it delivers a satisfying emotional payoff without ever giving away its secrets.
