Description
In a near-future America shaped by religious authoritarianism, teenage Rory Ann Miller finds herself hunted as a terrorist after an explosion at her elite California high school. With her best friend, she races across a landscape of surveillance, social-media fury, drones, and armed pursuit while her activist mother is imprisoned and her fractured family takes opposing sides. Over the course of forty-eight breathless hours, the novel explores reproductive control, political extremism, misogyny, complicity, and the precarious power of dissent. Fierce, darkly funny, and unsettlingly plausible, it is both a coming-of-age story and a sharp warning about how quickly freedom can be redefined.
