Description

Violet Gentile, a 27-year-old American, leaves her life in New York behind to join her boyfriend, Yuki, in his Japanese hometown of Hakone, following a family crisis. Thrust into a world of unfamiliar customs and language barriers, Violet finds herself increasingly isolated and questioning her decision. The true challenge arises not from cultural misunderstandings, but from the stark reality of traditional Japan, personified by Yuki's elder brother, Haru. As Violet navigates this complex new environment, she begins to uncover hidden truths about her relationship and herself, forcing her to confront her own preconceived notions and prejudices.
