Description
Former detective Clint Wolf is trying to rebuild his life as the newly appointed police chief of Mechant Loup, a quiet Louisiana town where the swamps hold more than their share of secrets. When an alligator is discovered carrying a human arm—and the victim is identified as a respected local businessman—Clint is drawn into a tense investigation that reaches far beyond a missing-person case. As buried corruption, danger, and a sinister conspiracy emerge, he must confront both the town’s darkest history and threats that could cost him his life. Blending atmospheric Southern noir with hard-edged police procedural suspense, the novel explores justice, loyalty, and the enduring consequences of evil.
