Description
Released after eighteen years of imprisonment, Hyun Woo returns to a Seoul transformed beyond recognition, his utopian dreams shattered and his loved ones lost. He retreats to a secluded house, the site of a brief, stolen happiness with the woman he loved, Yoon Hee, who died years prior. Immersed in her diaries, Hyun Woo confronts the ghosts of his past, re-examining a life dedicated to revolutionary ideals and the sacrifices made by a generation yearning for a better future. Through poignant prose, the narrative explores the enduring power of love and the profound cost of commitment to a cause, even as history's relentless march claims youth and freedom.
