Description
When Mica Segal travels from Israel to Warsaw with her sharp-tongued grandmother, Regina, their mission seems straightforward: reclaim the family property lost during World War II. But navigating the city’s present-day streets—and the tangled relationships surrounding the disputed building—uncovers buried memories, a possible family secret, and competing versions of the past. With understated, expressive artwork and finely tuned wit, this graphic novel explores Holocaust memory, inherited grief, love, identity, and the uneasy ways history continues to shape the lives of those who survive it.
