When Alice Chen signs up for a reality TV dating show to escape her crushing student debt, she's ready to fake her way to a million-dollar prize—until her high school nemesis, Daniel Cho, becomes her on-camera love interest. As Alice and Daniel navigate the manufactured drama of Dawn Tay's Inferno, their carefully choreographed romance takes a deadly turn when a body surfaces on set, forcing them to investigate the show's dark secrets while maintaining their convincing couple act for the cameras. Blending fake dating, reality TV chaos, and a gripping murder mystery, this debut novel explores themes of ambition, second chances, and unexpected connection amid the manufactured chaos of modern entertainment. With sharp wit, compelling characters, and a plot that refuses to slow down, Kara Loo and Jennifer Young deliver an addictive page-turner that's perfect for fans of romantic comedies with a thrilling edge. This is the ultimate beach read for anyone who's ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes of reality television.
