Description

In a world devastated by nuclear war, sixteen-year-old Ann Burden believes she is the sole survivor, finding refuge and sustenance in a secluded valley. Her solitary existence is shattered when she discovers evidence of another person, a stranger whose arrival brings both hope and profound fear. As Ann grapples with the implications of this encounter, she must confront the unsettling question of whether humanity's greatest threat is the absence of others, or their presence. This gripping post-apocalyptic tale explores themes of isolation, trust, and the complex nature of survival when the only other person left might be your greatest danger.
