Description

After discovering her husband has fathered a child with another woman, Nora Stuart leaves New York behind and slowly rebuilds her life in a small resort town, where she works as a newspaper advice columnist and begins opening her heart to someone new. Her fragile recovery is threatened when her ex-husband and his new family move nearby—then shattered when he and his wife are found murdered. With her memories of the crucial night clouded and her private resentment exposed, Nora becomes the prime suspect in a case filled with secrets, jealousy, and competing motives. Blending psychological suspense with sharp insight into heartbreak, reinvention, and the uncertain process of moving on, the novel keeps the truth just out of reach.
