Description
In the atmospheric setting of wartime Reykjavik, a brutal murder in the notorious 'shadow district' ignites a complex investigation. As an Icelandic detective and an American military policeman race against time to catch a killer, unsettling questions about a past crime emerge. Decades later, a retired detective uncovers forgotten newspaper clippings that suggest the original investigation may have been flawed, drawing him back into the shadows of WWII and the lingering consequences of old secrets. This gripping novel masterfully weaves together historical intrigue and present-day suspense, exploring themes of justice, memory, and the enduring impact of war.
