Description
On the Lunar Trust, 20-year-old Lane—an autistic lunar lunch lady—finds her carefully ordered life upended by grief, new friendships, and the pressure of keeping a fragile colony dream alive. Inspired by the legacy of Faraday Tanner, whose invention helped spark the movement for an independent moon, Lane tries to step out of her sister’s shadow while navigating relationships, awkward workplace dynamics, and the unsettling presence of corporate power. When missing goods and tampered equipment turn everyday problems into something far more dangerous, Lane must trust her instincts, rally her community, and confront what it really means to protect home. Blending fresh, hopeful sci-fi with character-driven humor and heart, this story explores belonging, neurodiversity, survivor’s guilt, and resistance against exploitation in a vivid, inclusive future.
