Behooved

Description

When war threatens her kingdom, Bianca—bound by duty and managing a chronic illness—agrees to an arranged marriage with Aric, the neighboring heir. Their magical wedding night turns catastrophic: an assassination attempt leaves Aric transformed into a horse, forcing Bianca to ride for safety while a larger conspiracy tightens around the throne. As Bianca is framed for Aric’s “murder,” their uneasy, forced proximity becomes the unlikely foundation for a slow-burn romance—one that unfolds between day-to-day caretaking and the man he becomes when the curse lifts. With cozy enchantments, courtly intrigue, and a prince who’d rather be in a library than ruling, this bewitching romantasy explores love versus obligation, trust earned in the dark, and the courage it takes to unravel a fate that was never meant to be yours.
