Description
In a world where food is never just food, *The Menu* follows a cast of characters drawn into a high-stakes dining experience that blurs the line between pleasure and power. As the evening unfolds, each course becomes a clue to hidden motives, shifting loyalties, and the quiet rules that govern who gets to belong—and who doesn’t. With sharp wit and a suspenseful, page-turning momentum, the story explores themes of desire, control, class, and the stories we tell ourselves to justify what we want. Seth Reiss delivers a distinctive blend of social observation and tension-driven storytelling, making this a memorable read for anyone who enjoys clever, character-forward suspense.

whoever it was on the cutting room floor that decided what bullshit in this screenplay didn’t make it to the film needs to be given 8 trillion dollars. the movie is so clean and concise and so well done that it’s hard to imagine this screenplay is what it started with. genuinely please just watch the movie instead.
