Description
David Boring is a brooding young security guard navigating grief, desire, and an increasingly unstable search for the woman who embodies his ideal of beauty. After a chance romance ends in abandonment—and a shocking act of violence leaves him fighting to recover—David becomes entangled with a mysterious professor, a vanished lover, and a woman who may hold the key to his obsession. As his quest unfolds through fractured relationships, family secrets, and intimations of a post-apocalyptic world, Daniel Clowes blends noir suspense, dark humor, and unsettling psychological insight. The result is a stylish, provocative graphic novel about loneliness, fantasy, identity, and the stories people invent to make sense of their lives.
