Love of the Egoist

by Elizabeth Peters

Description

In a world where desire and self-invention collide, this novel follows a sharp-witted protagonist drawn into a web of romance, ambition, and moral compromise. As relationships deepen and loyalties are tested, the story explores what it really means to want—whether love is a refuge, a performance, or a mirror for the ego. With Elizabeth Peters’ signature blend of wit and psychological insight, the narrative balances emotional intensity with a keen eye for character and consequence. Perfect for readers who enjoy intimate, character-driven drama and themes of identity, self-deception, and the cost of pursuing one’s own desires.

Not a bad read. Make sure you know what you are getting into here. It's fully a dark romance (and the romance part is definitely not the healthy loving kind)
