Description
Three tiny birds begin their journey by cracking their way out of their eggs, only to leave one last shell behind. As the days pass, that lone egg waits—until the other chicks return and discover a surprising new arrival: a friendly baby alligator who has finally hatched. With gentle humor and vivid, accessible storytelling, this picture book explores patience, change, and the joy of unexpected friendships. Perfect for early readers and storytime, it showcases Kevin Henkes’s warm, character-driven style and his talent for turning everyday moments into memorable lessons about belonging.
