Description
In this timeless comedic masterpiece, the women of Athens, led by the formidable Lysistrata, embark on a radical plan to end the Peloponnesian War: a sex strike. As the men's frustration mounts and the city teeters on the brink of collapse, this audacious gambit forces a reckoning with the absurdities of conflict and the power of collective action. Aristophanes masterfully blends biting political satire with bawdy humor, offering a sharp critique of Athenian society and its endless wars, while simultaneously celebrating the resilience and ingenuity of women.
