Step into an old Irish tale where Clever Tom’s quick thinking and stubborn courage are put to the test when a leprechaun enters his world. As Tom navigates riddles, trickery, and the shifting rules of fairy magic, he must decide what he’s willing to risk to outsmart a power that can’t be bargained with in ordinary ways. Blending folklore charm with a lively, accessible narrative, this story explores themes of wit versus luck, respect for the unseen, and the moral weight of choices made under pressure. With Linda Shute’s engaging storytelling style, readers will feel the warmth of tradition while enjoying a fast-moving adventure rooted in Irish myth and imagination.
