Description
In this luminous collection of poems, a speaker moves through the everyday—work, family, desire, grief—carrying both the weight of memory and the possibility of renewal. With sharp attention to the natural world and the body, the poems braid intimate observation with larger questions about what we owe one another and how we survive what we inherit. Ada Limón’s distinctive voice blends lyric clarity with emotional immediacy, turning personal moments into meditations on love, loss, and resilience. Part witness and part invitation, these poems ask readers to feel the burden and the beauty of being human, one breath at a time.

i liked this collection soooo much more than [b:The Hurting Kind: Poems|59571658|The Hurting Kind Poems|Ada Limon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1651701028l/59571658._SX50_.jpg|93819191]. it was significantly more cohesive and the imagery felt based in both a surrealist whimsy and the jarring reality of limón's life.
