Description
In this unsettling and darkly humorous novel, three employees at a vast, enigmatic factory find their lives increasingly consumed by their peculiar tasks. One shreds documents, another proofreads, and a third meticulously studies the moss that blankets the factory grounds. As the days blur into a surreal rhythm, the boundaries between work and life, reality and the factory's strange logic, begin to dissolve. Oyamada masterfully crafts a Kafkaesque exploration of modern alienation, questioning the nature of purpose and existence within the absurdities of the contemporary workplace.
