Description

In the heart of Nazi-occupied Warsaw during World War II, a young orphan navigates a world of brutal prejudice and desperate survival. Known by many names, he steals to feed himself and his fellow orphans, clinging to fragile beliefs in bread, mothers, and angels. His desperate desire to belong, even to the oppressors, is shattered by the horrific reality of the Holocaust, forcing him to seek safety in anonymity as the trains arrive to empty the ghetto. This powerful narrative, told through the eyes of a child, explores themes of identity, resilience, and the enduring human spirit in the face of unimaginable darkness.
