Description
When a persnickety Elephant discovers he has an itch he can’t reach, he sets out to solve the problem by asking for help—only to find that every would-be assistant has their own limitations. Turtle is too lazy, Snail is too slimy, and even Alligator’s willingness comes with uncertainty, forcing Elephant to confront the difference between wanting help and actually getting it. With playful, rhythmic humor and a cast of memorable characters, this story explores patience, cooperation, and the small frustrations that test friendships. Perfect for read-alouds, it delivers a lighthearted lesson about communication, compromise, and taking responsibility when others can’t—or won’t—come through.
