Description
On a night when the full moon turns the city luminous, a mysterious go-between offers a rare, rule-bound service: one-time reunions between the living and the departed. When a young woman from Tokyo reaches out to meet a deceased TV star who once changed her life, she instead finds herself facing a teenage boy—Ayumi Shibuya—who arrives with a tattered notebook and a promise that the dead may refuse. Across a series of meetings held in luxury hotels under lunar light, Ayumi helps people confront grief, guilt, and unfinished love—whether it’s a resentful son seeking buried truths, a teen wrestling with blame after a friend’s death, or a businessman desperate for answers about a fiancée who vanished. Blending tender supernatural intrigue with sharply observed human emotion, this novel explores themes of memory, agency beyond death, and the fragile hope that comes from finally speaking what was left unsaid.
