THE CRUCIBLE a Play in Four Acts

by Arthur Miller

Description

In a Puritan village gripped by fear, a chain of accusations ignites a courtroom frenzy that quickly turns personal grievances into public catastrophe. As the trials escalate, ordinary people are forced to choose between truth and survival, revealing how power, hysteria, and moral compromise can reshape an entire community. With its sharp focus on integrity under pressure, the play explores themes of mass paranoia, the cost of denial, and the devastating consequences of unchecked authority. Written in Arthur Miller’s incisive, character-driven style, this classic drama remains a searing study of how quickly justice can be replaced by spectacle.
