Description
In the stifling heat of Lisbon in the summer of 1938, Dr. Pereira, a respected but increasingly isolated newspaper editor, finds his comfortable existence disrupted. Obsessed with the past and the art of obituaries, he embarks on a new project: commissioning articles on death, a venture that inadvertently pulls him into the dangerous undercurrents of a nation under Salazar's authoritarian regime. As Pereira grapples with his own mortality and the political realities closing in, he must confront the moral compromises of his society and find the courage to speak truth to power.
