Description
Kameeka is determined to keep hula hooping—especially when her rivalry with Jamara threatens to pull her focus away from what’s expected of her. As “the itch” grows stronger, it nearly derails Miz Adeline’s birthday celebration, turning a simple day into a test of patience, priorities, and self-control. Through the girls’ choices and growing understanding, the story explores what it truly means to be a winner: not just in competition, but in character. With Thelma Lynne Godin’s warm, accessible storytelling, this lively tale blends playful momentum with meaningful lessons about responsibility, perseverance, and kindness.
