Description
Anda finds escape and heroism in the virtual world of Coarsegold Online, a massively multiplayer role-playing game where she can be anyone she wants. Her online life takes a complex turn when she befriends a gold farmer, a young person from China whose real-world survival depends on the virtual currency they earn in the game. As Anda delves deeper into this friendship, she confronts the blurred lines between game rules and real-world consequences, questioning the ethics of virtual economies and the human cost behind digital labor. This graphic novel explores themes of globalization, economic disparity, and the nature of friendship across digital divides.
