Description
Set in 1980s West Texas, this atmospheric literary horror novel follows Travis Stillwell, a troubled drifter whose violent past—and a mysterious encounter—leave him battling a terrifying hunger. Seeking refuge at a weathered motel, Travis takes work from its owner and becomes entangled in the lives of a mother and her young son, even as a Texas Ranger closes in on him. As their paths converge, the novel explores guilt, redemption, justice, and the monstrous consequences of buried evil. Blending the stark beauty of the Western landscape with the dread of classic horror, it offers a haunting, deeply human portrait of darkness and the possibility of change.
