Description
Ed Kennedy, a young and unremarkable taxi driver, finds his ordinary life upended when he intercepts a bank robbery and subsequently begins receiving a series of mysterious playing cards in the mail. Each card leads him on an unexpected mission, compelling him to help strangers and confront his own limitations. As Ed navigates these assignments, he grapples with themes of fate, responsibility, and the profound impact one person can have on the lives of others. Markus Zusak delivers a powerful and poignant narrative that is both humorous and deeply moving, exploring the extraordinary potential hidden within the most ordinary of lives.
