Description

After a failed marriage sends Doyle Redmond back toward his Ozark home, a family favor draws him into the long-simmering feud between the Redmonds and the Dollys. When an encounter with one of the Dollys turns deadly, Doyle must navigate suspicion, loyalty, and the unforgiving codes of a community shaped by bloodlines and old grievances. Darkly comic and richly atmospheric, the novel explores family, violence, honor, and the difficult search for identity in a world Doyle thought he had left behind.
